Information and Instructions for Nominating MTT Society Members For Election to the MTT Administrative Committee
MTT-S members are invited to submit nominations for election to the Society’s governing body, the Administrative Committee or “AdCom”. Members may nominate their peers or themselves by following the instructions described at the Nominations to AdCom page.
MTT ADCOM Amends Constitution and Bylaws
During the June meeting of the MTT-S Administrative Committee, a motion was passed creating a subcommittee, co-chaired by Kate A. Remley and Dominique Schreurs, tasked with ensuring the MTT-S Constitution, Bylaws, and other governance documents use gender-neutral language. The subcommittee found several instances in the Bylaws that could be amended to utilize gender-neutral terminology. Proposed amendments were approved by the Administrative Committee unanimously in the October 2011 meeting.
These proposed amendments are linked here. Ratification requires that the proposed amendments be publicized in a Society publication with notice that they go into effect unless 10 percent of the Society members object within 30 days.
