Nominations and Appointments
Committee Mission
The Nominations and Appointments Committee has two major responsibilities:
- Solicitation of candidates, producing the slates and conducting the annual elections of AdCom members and President-Elect in September/October of each year. This includes encouraging the submission of petitions on behalf of prospective candidates and organizing the membership-at-large election.
- Advising the incoming President of individuals who are qualified and willing to fill the various appointed AdCom committee positions.
AdCom election
The election by AdCom for the 6 members of the 2010 AdCom and Society officers has been conducted by e-mail ballot, the results confirmed at the AdCom meeting in October, 2009. Please see the Administrative Committee page for a full list of the 2010AdCom.
Nominations
The MTT-S Nominations and Appointments Committee encourages the submission of petitions on behalf of prospective candidates for elected positions on the MTT-S Administrative Committee (AdCom). In 2010, one AdCom member will be elected by the votes of the MTT-S membership-at-large and will serve a three year term that begins on 1st January 2011.
The member election will be conducted by electronic ballot where members can cast their votes on a secure website.
All MTT-S members are encouraged to nominate candidates for this AdCom seat by petition.Petitions must contain the signatures of individuals who are members in good standing of the IEEE and the Microwave Theory and Techniques Society.Petitions should be submitted to E. James Crescenzi, Jr., 640 Ashby Lane, Cambria, CA 93428 , NOT LATER THAN 29 JUNE , 2010.
Note that candidates standing for election in the membership-at-large ballot are ineligible to also stand in the AdCom election at the fall meeting.
