Authors should not send email from the following domains: 163.com, rediff.com, and sina.com. (These have proven to be unreliable.). Please make the pdf file with a word-processing program or by converting a printer file, rather than by scanning. The maximum file size is 1MB. All fonts must be embedded in the file. Each manuscript must include an abstract of 200 words or less. The manuscript should be formatted so that is easy to read on either a computer screen or on paper printed out in black and white. The manuscript must be single-spaced and double-column, with figures and captions at the appropriate place within the text. IEEE templates must be used. All graphics must be in black and white unless the author is prepared to pay the substantial costs involved in printing in color and it is accepted by the editor. A manuscript should look as it will appear when printed. Figures should be large enough to be easily viewed on a computer screen. Label axes carefully and use large lettering. Instrument screen dumps and screen photos should be redrawn to make them clear. Plot theory and experiment on the same graph so that they can be compared easily. Shading and color must generally be avoided. TeX and LaTeX are the preferred word processing languages. If you use Microsoft Word all symbols in the document must be entered using the built-in equation editor or using Mathtype (i.e. do not use font changes to enter symbols).

Manuscripts are considered as regular papers or letters. Letters are limited to errata and comments on previously published material. Short papers of three pages or less should be sent to the IEEE Microwave and Wireless Component Letters. Theory and numerical results require independent validation with experimental validation strongly preferred. The author must notify the editor at the time of submission if the manuscript contains material that has been previously submitted for publication. We will consider papers that are related to material published in conference digests only if the paper is substantially expanded. Please attach pdf files of the previous papers.

PAGE CHARGES

Papers will be reviewed for their technical merit, and decisions to publish will be made independently of an author's ability to pay page charges. Page charges of $110 (U.S.) per printed page will be requested on papers of six printed pages or less. Overlength page charges of $200 per page are mandatory for each page in excess of six pages. If the author's organization agrees to honor the total page charge, which includes the page charges on the first five pages plus the mandatory over length charge, the author will receive 100 reprints. If the supporting organization honors only the mandatory charge, no free preprints will be sent. Transactions has now moved to the electronic version (cf. the print version) being the primary publication of record. What this mostly means is that we will now publish in color. Color figures will be directly converted to grayscale for the print edition. As such pastel colors (lime, yellow etc.) should be avoided. Note that a review will be undertaken independent of your ability to pay. However the publication of your manuscript is dependent on your payment of mandatory page charges if your paper is above 6 printed pages.

COPYRIGHT AND CLEARANCE

It is the policy of the IEEE to own the copyright to the technical contributions it publishes. To comply with the IEEE copyright policy, authors are required to sign an IEEE Copyright Form before publication. The IEEE must assume that material submitted to its publications is available for general dissemination. It is the responsibility of the author, not the IEEE, to determine whether disclosure of the material requires prior consent of other parties and, if so, to obtain it. Do not repeat figures that were published in non-IEEE publications including conferences unless you obtain and forward a copyright release.

====

1. Please select the topic area below that best fits the topic of your submission. Please select only one!

            a) Linear and Nonlinear Device Modeling

            b) Smart Antennas, Phased Arrays, and Radars

            c) Active circuits, Semi-conductor Devices, and ICs

            d) Signal Generation, Frequency Conversion and Control (Oscillators, Mixers and Multipliers)

            e) Millimeterwave and Terahertz Technologies

            f) Ferroelectric and Ferrite Components

            g) Wireless Communication Systems

            h) Field Analysis and Guided Waves

            i) CAD Algorithms and Numerical Techniques

            j) Filters and Multiplexers

            k) Packaging, Interconnects, MCMs, Hybrids and Passive Circuit Elements

            l) Instrumentation and Measurement Techniques

            m) Microwave Photonics

            n) MEMS and Acoustic Wave Components

            o) Biological, Imaging, and Medical Applications

The best fit for my paper is (insert here):

2. PLEASE CHECK THAT YOUR REFERENCES ARE COMPLETE. In particular, you must include the page numbers and month of publication of journal and conference articles; include the issue number of journal articles; do not use abbreviations of conferences. IEEE standards for references can be found at http://www.mtt.org/publications/Transactions/standards_references.htm.

3. Please expand the names of authors on the first page and limit all biographies to 100 words or less.

4. Submissions must use the IEEE template for submissions and be in single-spaced double column format. This template may be found at http://www.ieee.org/organizations/pubs/transactions/stylesheets.htm.

5. Figures must not include screen dumps of instrument output. All plots must be drawn and use the captured data used in it. You should include essential information in the caption. If the figure is repeated or similar to figures that have appeared elsewhere, please add "From [X].", "After [X].", or "Data from [X]." to figure captions, as appropriate, where X refers to the prior publication. The fonts in figures should be comparable in size to those in the main text (10 pt.) Here are examples of acceptable and unacceptable figures: <http://www.mtt.org/publications/Transactions/unacceptable_figs.pdf>.

The Transactions has now moved to the electronic version being the primary publication of record. What this mostly means is that we will now publish in color. Color figures will be directly converted to grayscale for the print edition. As such, pastel colors (lime, yellow etc.) should be avoided. Also, we will no longer publish color in the print version of the Transactions.

6. Have you read the MTT-S Publication Policy? Note that this policy does not allow simultaneous submission of similar material to the Transactions and another journal or conference.  If there are any issues with the policy please inform the editor below.

7. The Transactions generally requires that theory, measurements, and simulations be supported by careful comparisons.

8. You must reference your own work, especially recent journal/conference publications. Please discuss your related publications in the introduction and distinguish the new results you present in your current manuscript from those found in your previous publications.

9. Significant extension is required over a previous publication, conference or otherwise. Please do not repeat results presented elsewhere (conference or journal). Is this paper a significant expansion beyond anything that you have published in the past or has been submitted for publication?

10. Have you appropriately referenced the work of others?

11. Have you obtained any necessary government and company clearances? (This must be done before this work will be reviewed.)

12. If you have sent a similar paper to the MTT Transactions (including special issues) previously you must inform us even if it is currently in review or was rejected. You must attach a pdf copy of that paper(s) and the Manuscript numbers. Does this apply to your submission?

13. Please send your manuscript in the file {paper number}_{name}.pdf and the references to your prior publications in the files {paper number}_ref{reference_number}_{name}.pdf, where {name} is the last name of the first author (please abbreviate your name if it is longer than 6 characters) and {paper number} is your paper number. For example, if you are sending your paper and its reference 5, you would send your paper as 4056_Wang.pdf and reference 5 as 4056_ref5_Wang.pdf, where "Wang" is your name and 4056 is your paper number. If you have not yet been assigned a paper number, simply put "MTT" in its place.

14. Please check your paper for grammatical errors. Ask a native English speaker for assistance if necessary. Never use acronyms in the title or abstract of your paper, and use acronyms sparingly. Do not invent new acronyms or use newly invented acronyms. Please do not use the same title for your conference and MTT submission. Papers with poor grammar will not be accepted until appropriate corrections are made.

15. Authors may include software with submissions. Software submitted with papers will be accessible from IEEExplore, and appropriate documentation and upgrade paths should be included with the software. Authors are required to transfer the copyright for both the manuscript and the software to the IEEE.

16. There are special rules for review and tutorial papers. Authors should contact the editors for instructions before submitting manuscripts.
