Later he changed to the Center of Competence for Digital Signal Processing and ASICs and was responsible for the development of hard- and software used in spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers and in signal generators.

His activities are covering also EMC- test and measurement, noise-measurement, digital algorithms and high-speed design (RF, microwave and digital aspects) and he has several patents in that areas.

During the last years he is project leader for R&D in the field of time domain measurement instruments and he manages the hardware development of different instruments from RF to Microwave frequency range.

He was chair of the former Technical Committee MTT-9 on “Digital Signal Processing” (now MTT-15) and initiator and guest Editor of some Microwave Magazine issues.
