Biography
Kenjiro Nishikawa received the doctor degree of communication engineering from Osaka University in 2004. He joined the NTT Wireless Systems Laboratories, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation in 1991, where he was engaged in research and development of Multilayer/3D MMICs on GaAs and Si, millimeter-wave system-in-package integrated with antennas, and high-speed wireless communication systems. Since 2011 he has been a professor at Kagoshima University, Kagoshima, Japan. His research interests are in wireless power transfer systems, THz integrated circuits, low-power/high-efficiency circuit design techniques, wireless sensor systems, automatic design systems for wireless equipment, cryogenic device modeling, cryogenic measurement and so on. He has served as the TPC chair of APMC2014, as the vice chair of APMC2018/2022, and as the TPC or TPRC members for various conferences such as IMS, APMC, WPTC, RFIT, IMaRC, IWS and so on. He has been also working on TC-7/TC-9/TC-25 of IEEE MTT-S. He has authored or coauthored over 170 refereed journal and conference papers, and 53 patents. Dr. Nishikawa was awarded the IEICE (The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers) Best Paper Award in 2011 and the Best Paper Award in the Communication Society of IEICE in 2006. Dr. Nishikawa is a member of IEEE and IEICE.
