Biography

Benjamin D. Parker received the B.S. degree in physics from Bowdoin College, Brunswick, ME, USA, in 1979, and the M.S. degree in physics from Brown University, Providence, RI, USA, in 1981. His graduate research concerned the optical properties of adsorbed layers on metal surfaces. In 1986, he joined the GaAs Group, IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY, USA, where he was involved with the characterization of III–V semiconductors. In 1991, he joined the Mixed-Signal Communications Integrated Circuits Design Group, IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, where he has been involved with the design and verification of digital circuits in high-speed serial communications.
