Michael earned the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in 1991 and 1993, respectively from UCSB. His Ph.D. research concerned nonlinear transmission lines for applications in high-speed waveform shaping and signal detection. Since 1993. he has been with the Hughes Aircraft Company Research Laboratories, Malibu, CA, where he is involved with two- and three-terminal device design and process development, high-speed circuit design, and measurement techniques.
